Chesapeake Bartenders and Events is a luxury bar and light bites catering company serving weddings, private celebrations and corporate events throughout Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia and Delaware.

Since 2019 we have built our reputation on a standard of service that clients and their planners request by name. Our team is fully licensed, TIPS certified and insured, and every event we staff carries our name rather than someone else's.
We hire selectively and we hire for the long term. Our people are compensated as employees, trained on our standards and procedures, and given the equipment, systems and support to execute at the level our clients expect.
Why our team stays
- Compensation is confirmed before an assignment is accepted. There are no surprises about what an event pays.
- Flat per event pay rather than an hourly rate that shrinks when a room is slow.
- Health insurance, dental insurance and a 401k retirement plan with company match, offered to part time staff.
- Gratuities are retained in full by staff.
- Certifications are supported and, where required, paid for by the company.
- Events are placed on the calendar well in advance. No one is scheduled for an assignment they have not accepted.

The senior bartender on site. Directs bar service at weddings, private celebrations and corporate events, works the bar throughout, and represents the company to the client, the planner and the venue. Substantial professional bartending experience required.

Several times a year we engage independent bartenders for individual events. These are contract engagements rather than employment positions, negotiated per event. If you operate your own bartending business and would like to be considered, submit your information and we will reach out when an engagement fits.

Every position we staff shares the same foundation. We look for hospitality professionals who arrive prepared, communicate immediately when something changes, and understand that at a luxury event the way the bar looks matters as much as how quickly the line moves.
All staff must reside on the Eastern Shore or in the Annapolis area, within reasonable distance of our Stevensville office, as all equipment and supplies are loaded there. A reliable vehicle capable of transporting bar equipment is required for most positions, along with a valid driver license, a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check. Certain venues require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
